To participate in the REEL program, you must meet the eligibility requirements and follow three simple steps.

Complete the licensed contractor application
Submit an application
Submit the completed application along with proof of liability insurance by email, mail or fax. You can also submit all documents at any live training event

Eligibility requirements
- Current Contractors State License Board (CSLB) license relevant to work performed
- No disciplinary action against CSLB license in previous 12 months
- No outstanding judgements or liens
- Proof of current commercial general liability insurance coverage (at least $1 million per occurrence)
- Current workers’ compensation insurance (if applicable)

Training
Your first step in being able to offer REEL financing is taking the REEL Compliance Training. Online and webinar-based options make taking the one-hour training easy.

2 EEEMs stands for Eligible Energy Efficiency Measures that are eligible for efficiency rebates, such as HVAC systems, appliances, windows and insulation.
3 A Bill Impact Estimate must be provided to the customer prior to commencing work on the property. Contractors can use GoGreen Financing's Bill Impact Estimate or create their own estimate using energy modeling software.

Sample project – HVAC and required safety test
This sample HVAC system replacement project requires a safety test. Because the property is serviced by both Southern California Edison and Southern California Gas Company, a utility bill from each company is required.
Sample project – HVAC plus nonenergy efficiency measures
This sample project is an installation of a HVAC system with a nonenergy efficiency measure. One spouse (Ellen Ramirez) is the utility customer, and the other spouse (Pat Ramirez) is the borrower. Below is a list of documents needed to submit to a lender for this project.
