Increase your energy efficiency business with financing administered by the State of California for businesses and nonprofits.

To participate, you must meet program eligibility requirements and follow three simple steps.

Complete the online contractor training at your own pace

This one-hour online training will prepare you to work with the program and submit projects. Project developers will need to complete an additional 30-minute training. You can start, pause and resume to fit your schedule.

Submit the application

Submit your completed application and proof of general liability insurance by email or mail. If you have opted in to statewide marketing, please email your logo as a high-resolution JPEG or PNG file.

Eligibility requirements

Contractors
  • Current Contractors State License Board (CSLB) license relevant to the work to be performed
  • No disciplinary action against the CSLB license within the past 24 months
  • No outstanding judgments or liens
  • Proof of commercial general liability insurance coverage (at least $1 million per occurrence)
Project developers
  • No outstanding judgments or liens
  • Proof of current commercial general liability insurance coverage (at least $1 million per occurrence)
  • Either a verifiable active contract as an IOU/REN/CCA energy efficiency or demand response implementer, or organization has completed at least 10 projects in a project development role
